Writing
Finding exactly the right words to express your ideas is a challenging craft and a thrilling art. If your website, article, report, or other text isn't written clearly, concisely, and creatively, you can lose your readers' interest, attention, and potentially their patronage also.
Brett Jocelyn ("BJ") Epstein holds a BA in English and creative writing and an MFA in fiction. She has published over 100 articles, stories, restaurant reviews, book reviews, essays, speeches, encyclopedia entries, and other documents for private customers and for a variety of publications.
Articles written by Ms. Epstein have appeared in the following publications, among many others:
- Translation Journal
- Verbatim
- Translation Studies Abstracts/Bibliography of Translation Studies
- ESL Magazine
- Funds for Writers
- Fence
- International Literature on Children's Literature
- Gourmet
- Relish
- Facköversättaren (the journal of the Swedish Association of Professional Translators)
- Danforth Review
- Encyclopedia of Multiethnic American Literature
Dr. Epstein also writes a column about Scandinavia for the Scandinavian-American newspaper, The Danish Pioneer. She also edited and contributed to The Bryn Mawr College Cookbook, which was published in the fall of 2006, and organized, edited, and contributed to Northern Lights: Translation in the Nordic Countries, which was published in March 2009.
